Hornets Defeat the Tigers in Round 1 of the IHSA State Playoffs

The Brown County Hornet football team defeated the Greenfield-Northwestern Tigers 18-16 on November 2nd. The Tigers got on the board first with a 1-yard run and converted the 2-point conversion to make it 8-0 Tigers. The Hornets would put together a long 56-yard drive and Tyce Fullerton would punch in a score from 1-yard out. The 2-point conversion was no good making it 8-6 Tigers. The Hornets defense would force the Tigers to punt and on the second play of the drive Tanner Sitze would break free and take it 71-yards to the house making it 12-6 Hornets going into the half. In the third quarter the Tigers would score again after a 2-yard run making it 16-12 Tigers. The Hornets would march down the field with some crucial 4th down conversions from Matt Boylen and Tyce Fullerton. Tyce Fullerton would also haul in a 15-yard pass from Vince Little to take the lead 18-16 Hornets. The Hornets defense would stand strong and the Hornets would win the game. The Hornets will play again this Saturday against Casey-Westfield at home.
