FFA Forestry and CDE
Recently the Brown County FFA took a group of 13 members to compete in the Section 11 FFA Forestry Contest. In this competition all contestants did 6 different classes. The different classes consisted of Tree Identification, Tree Measurements, Equipment Identification, TSI and Reading Maps. The chapter team (second year of FFA and up) placed 5th out of 12 teams. The highest placing chapter member was Marshall Gallaher who placed 6th. The greenhand team (first year of FFA) was 3rd out of 8 teams. The highest placing member of the greenhand team was Jake Glasgow who ended in 3rd place.
