BCHS Rambler Wins State Award
The 2021-2022 Rambler was entered into the IJEA Yearbook Contest earlier in October. This contest is sponsored by Eastern Illinois University and the schools are divided by number of students in the school.
Mrs. McCaskill was notified yesterday of the results and, as she put it, “couldn’t have been more proud”.
The Rambler placed in the following categories:
1st Place for Divider Pages
1st Place for Graphics
1st Place for Layout and Design
1st Place for Photography
3rd Place for Copy Writing
2nd Place for Overall General Excellence State Award
McCaskill said, “Working on a yearbook is a year-round job and takes a huge amount of commitment from the staff. They spend hours outside of school taking pictures at various events as well as covering academics and clubs. Creating quality layouts take a lot of time and meeting deadlines can be very stressful. My staff members are also active in playing sports, involved in drama and work at jobs outside of school. To create this level of book is an amazing achievement!”
