FFA Off to a Great Start
Although the year has just begun the FFA has gotten off to a great start. The first meeting had so many members many were left without a seat. They stood the whole time listening to President Maxwell’s Perry’s announcements for this year’s agenda. The FFA has started recruiting for many boards each with extreme importance and many volunteers.
Several highly anticipated events have been announced. Livestock judging competitions are coming up and the list of future people competing is large. Forestry is also on the schedule as another event. Upcoming is the first FFA recreational event including hay bale tossing. In other news a field will be used that many FFA members will be contributing to the growth of. Plans for the bean field have yet to be released but with enough hard work and dedication I’m sure it will provide bountiful results.
The Recreation Committee had many volunteers, only rivaled by the amount of people hoping to join the Homecoming Committee in charge of designing a float. Other committees involved working out in the fields, and the Pork Chop Dinner Organization Committee. When asked about the incoming FFA members President Maxwell Perry responded "they're good". With the praise from The President and upcoming Greenhand Conference FFA's new members are in good shape indeed.
