Mrs. Flynn attended the University of Illinois, University of West Florida. She wasn’t always planning on being a teacher, after she constantly substituted, she decided to go back and get her teacher certification. Outside of school Mrs. Flynn enjoys reading, attending her children’s activities, she also likes to travel. She says that 3rd grade is amazing, they are so curious, and eager to learn, but can also be independent. A saying Mrs. Flynn uses on a regular day is “It is going to be a great day”. Mrs. Flynn’s favorite thing about teaching, is she enjoys her students, she loves learning about them and building those relationships. She always knew she wanted to work with younger students. This is her first year as a classroom teacher, but she also spent 8 years as a substitute/librarian. She would love to travel anywhere because she loves traveling. If she wasn’t a teacher, she would like to be a book editor. She has always taught at BC. One thing she says to encourage her kids is, “You can do hard things”. Her favorite season is winter because she loves snow and the holidays. Her favorite sport is basketball, and her favorite animal is cows. She has 2 dogs, Scarlett, and Remi. Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, her favorite movie is White Christmas, and her favorite song is The Dance by Garth Brooks.
