Gabe Blakeley Senior Highlight
Gabe Blakeley plans to study biological studies or criminal justice in college. His dream college is Vanderbilt, but he plans to attend Spoon River Community College. Blakeley would like to live out in the country so his kids can have a rural childhood. In ten years, he sees himself married and have a kid of his own and working as a biologist or game warden.
In his eyes the most rewarding thing in High School is his success in sports. The teacher that influenced him most was Mrs. Zimmerman because she makes sure that people know they can do anything. He says the best thing about being a senior is sports and classes and the worst thing is "senioritis". His most embarrassing memory he says was when he called Mrs. Maas “mom” his freshman year. His advice for incoming freshmen is “it goes by quick so make sure you enjoy it.’
His favorite memory from high school is his freshmen year of baseball and his first varsity game. Activities he participated in during high school include baseball, basketball, football, golf, fishing, hunting, FFA, FCA, NHS, travel ball, children's ministry, and fishing clinics.
